Cold Chambers.
Controlled low-temperature environments for accelerated exposure, reliability evaluation, storage studies and repeatable specimen conditioning.
Expose products to controlled cold—then measure what changes.
ISOTECH Cold Chambers and Cooler Chambers control the specimen environment for accelerated temperature exposure, helping users examine product suitability, reliability and durability.
The chambers are developed around safe operation, reliable performance, ergonomic access and straightforward control. Published construction references DIN, MIL, IEC and IS 9000.
Temperature sensing, uniform circulation and insulated vapour-tight construction create a repeatable environment for storage, processing and testing applications.
A closed-loop path to deep, stable cold.
Single-stage or cascade compression conditions the chamber while monitoring pressure, temperature and refrigerant flow.
Hermetic or semi-sealed compressor
The compressor drives refrigerant circulation for single-stage or cascade low-temperature configurations.
Water- or air-cooled condenser
Model and installation requirements determine the heat-rejection method used by the refrigeration plant.
Electronic auto-expansion valve
Automatic refrigerant expansion regulates the transition into the low-pressure cooling stage.
Plate-fin evaporator
The chamber-side cooler extracts heat while the air circuit distributes conditioned temperature uniformly.

A vapour-tight shell designed to retain the condition.
The interior uses high-gloss polished 304-grade stainless steel with vapour-tight welding, finished edges and corrosion-resistant easy-clean surfaces. Adjustable or removable shelving supports different specimens and test layouts.
Interior test space
Non-frost, vapour- and air-tight construction in 16 or 18 SWG 304-grade stainless steel.
External structure
16 or 18 SWG CRCA, GI or stainless steel with a fine electrostatic powder-coated finish.
Thermal insulation
Environmentally friendly, asbestos-free and CFC-free mineral-fibre insulation reduces heat transfer and operating cost.
Standard interfaces
Left- or right-side cable ports, specimen shelves and a drain pipe with suitable fittings are published.
Sealed access with clear observation.
A right-hinged front-opening door uses double-lined A-grade silicone seals, a multi-pane viewing window, auto-cut-off defogging heat and internal illumination.
Uniform circulation, protected cooling and serviceable plant.
The chamber combines a high-rate air circuit with rapid-response heating and model-specific refrigeration.

Rapid-response heating
Jacket-type air heaters help recover and hold the set temperature without direct radiant exposure.
- Quick response to setpoint
- No direct specimen radiation
- Uniform heat distribution
- Supports cyclic programmes
Single-stage or cascade
The required lower limit determines whether a single-stage or cascade compression system is applied.
- Non-CFC mechanical refrigeration
- R404A and R23 listed
- Ozone-friendly approach
- Plate-fin chamber cooler
Pressure and oil management
Dedicated devices monitor suction and discharge pressure and protect the refrigeration system.
- Suction-pressure measurement
- Head/discharge measurement
- HP/LP cut-off
- Oil separator and oil return
Programme, protect and record every cold profile.
The programmable controller combines TFT LCD touch and key input with profile graphics, test-history trends, ramp-and-soak segments and cyclic operation.
Profiles and cycles
Logic-programmable LO models support multiple programmes, segments, ramp, soak and cyclic operation.
Connected operation
High-speed RS-232/485 and USB communications support hardware connection and fast downloads.
Single-set PID
RE models use microprocessor PID non-programmable temperature control.
PT100 sensing
A PT100 temperature sensor measures the chamber environment for control and monitoring.
Independent protection for chamber, specimen and operator.
Access, temperature, electrical and refrigeration faults are addressed through dedicated shutdown and indication functions.

Cold chamber guidance.
Answers covering equipment scope, customization, temperature control, efficiency, applications, support and selection.
ISOTECH designs and manufactures cold chambers, cold-room systems and environmental test equipment for temperature-controlled applications.
A cold chamber is generally a smaller self-contained refrigerated enclosure for a defined test or process, while a cold room provides a larger accessible temperature-controlled storage area.
Yes. ISOTECH can tailor capacity, temperature range, refrigeration, controls, access, shelving and project-specific interfaces to the requirement.
Insulation, vapour-tight construction, mechanical refrigeration, controlled heating, uniform airflow and PT100 temperature sensing work together to maintain the set condition.
The published design prioritizes efficient insulation and refrigeration to reduce unwanted heat gain and operating cost. Actual consumption depends on configuration, load and use.
Published applications include food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, laboratories and other temperature-controlled testing, storage or processing requirements.
Yes. ISOTECH publishes professional installation, routine maintenance and technical support for continued chamber performance.
The current product page references DIN, MIL, IEC and IS 9000. Confirm the exact test standard and selected configuration during technical review.
Lead time depends on capacity, refrigeration complexity, options and production demand. ISOTECH can confirm the schedule after the technical scope is defined.
Correct chamber sizing, airflow clearance, shelving layout, door discipline, load planning and an appropriate temperature profile help maximize space while preserving product quality.
