Hot & Cold Test Chamber.
Controlled high- and low-temperature simulation for thermal cycling, endurance evaluation and product stress testing across components, materials and finished devices.
Thermal conditions made controlled and repeatable.
ISOTECH Hot & Cold Test Chambers simulate high- and low-temperature environments for evaluating product durability, reliability and performance. They support thermal cycling, endurance testing and stress simulation under accelerated or real-time conditions.
The chamber range is used for components, materials and complete devices serving automotive, defence, aerospace, electronics, renewable-energy and telecommunications programmes.
ISOTECH states that the systems are developed around requirements associated with IEC, IS, ASTM, MIL-STD and JSS testing frameworks. The chambers are manufactured in Bangalore and supplied in India and international markets with installation and customer support.
Where controlled temperature variation matters.
Thermal testing helps teams examine material stability, product endurance and performance across extreme operating conditions.

Sealed, insulated and built for operating access.
The published chamber architecture combines a corrosion-resistant workspace with an insulated outer body, sealed access, viewing and specimen connections.
Interior workspace
Non-frost, vapour- and air-tight construction using 16 or 18 SWG, 304-grade stainless steel with adjustable and removable shelving.
External cabinet
Outer construction is available in 16 or 18 SWG CRCA, GI or stainless steel with electrostatic super-fine powder-coat finishing.
Thermal insulation
Asbestos-free and CFC-free mineral-fibre insulation supports heat retention and helps reduce operating loss.
Door and seal
A right-hinged front-opening single door uses double-lined grade-A silicone gaskets on both the door and chamber body.
Viewing and illumination
A multi-pane glass viewing window includes defogging heaters with automatic cut-off, together with illumination for observing the test specimen.
Ports and drainage
Left- or right-side cable ports with rubber plugs accept measurement and control connections. Drain outlet piping and suitable fittings are included.
Three coordinated systems drive the temperature profile.
Air circulation, responsive heating and protected refrigeration work together to reduce spatial variation and maintain the programmed condition.
Air circulation
A suitably sized fan motor and impeller distribute conditioned air across the test space.
- Impeller exposed inside the conditioning plenum
- Drive motor remains outside the chamber
- Detachable plenum cover supports maintenance
- Published noise level below 70 dB
Heating system
Quick-response jacket-type air heaters bring the chamber toward the programmed hot condition.
- Heater arrangement supports uniform temperature
- No direct heater radiation onto the specimen
- Reduced variation across multiple test items
- Suitable for ramp-and-soak temperature profiles
Refrigeration system
Water- or air-cooled mechanical refrigeration is configured as single-stage or cascade compression according to the required range.
- Hermetically sealed or boosted semi-sealed compressor options
- Electronic automatic expansion valve
- Water/air condenser and plate-fin cooler
- R404A and R23 refrigerants listed in the current specification
- Suction and head/discharge pressure measurement
- HP/LP cut-off and oil-return separation
Programme the cycle. Review the thermal history.
Logic-programmable models use a large-screen controller with TFT LCD touch and key input, programme-pattern graphics, testing-history trends and cyclic ramp-and-soak segments.
Programmable control
Multiple programmes and profile segments support ramp, soak and cyclic temperature operation.
PID temperature control
RE models use a microprocessor PID non-programmable controller for temperature operation.
Data and hardware links
High-speed RS-232/485, networking and USB communications support connected hardware and downloads.
PT100 sensing
A PT100 sensor measures chamber temperature. Power-failure recovery and password protection support controlled operation.
Operator, specimen and circuit protection.
Each functional electrical circuit has its own safety facility, capable of stopping the affected circuit or the entire chamber when a malfunction occurs.
Three minimum-temperature classes.
Published ITHCC logic-programmable models are differentiated by their low-temperature class and share an upper model-table limit of +200°C.
| Model number | Published temperature range | Test-space volume |
|---|---|---|
| ITHCC-70 LO | -70°C to +200°C | 125 L to 2500 L |
| ITHCC-40 LO | -40°C to +200°C | 125 L to 2500 L |
| ITHCC-20 LO | -20°C class to +200°C | 125 L to 2500 L |
